Financial transparency

As a nonprofit membership association, USSIA publishes our IRS filings and financial information.

As a recognized tax-exempt nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code, the United States Seafood Industry Association seeks to be transparent in its financial operations by making our financial information publicly available.

Federal income tax notice

Dues, contributions, or gifts to the United States Seafood Industry Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.  For tax year 2017, we estimate that 10% of dues will be related to our lobbying activities.  Please consult your tax advisor.

Disclosure of filings and financial reports

As a new organization, the United States Seafood Industry Association does not yet have any filings to disclose.  We expect to file IRS Form 990 for tax year 2017 on or before its due date of May 15, 2018.  Once filed, these materials will be posted here.
